No Show is a series of film photographs by Eric Pickersgill that document his travels attending fake Facebook events in the summer of 2016. He traveled the United States showing up at fake events that were posted to the social media site Facebook as a hoax. He photographed the benal locations, the people who lived or worked in those spaces, individuals who showed up at the fake event who may or may not have believed in the post, as well as some of the people who created the events. The work is a look into the way internet culture has spilled over into reality, altering the way we see the world, where we go, and what we believe.
